As the seasons change and the weather outside turns the leaves to beautiful reds and oranges, we enter into the cold and flu season. I want to remind everyone to take care of themselves and their loved ones. So many of us often find ourselves fighting colds and flu in the winter months.
Our main goal is to keep our senior residents happy and healthy. The best way to help prevent the cold and flu is to wash your hands regularly, stay hydrated, and get a flu shot. Seniors are especially vulnerable to the flu virus. The cold and flu can be passed to others in the air and on surfaces. If you find yourself coming down with an illness, be sure to cover your cough, disinfect regularly touched surfaces (like door handles, handrails, and remotes), and drink plenty of fluids. Don’t forget to get plenty of rest to help your body fight off the bug. If you have a loved one here who is feeling under the weather, please let us know so we can help care for them.
Here’s to a cozy autumn together! Thank you for being a part of our community.
